207 Amaro Locale is a tribute to the solid tradition of Italian amaro that transcends the boundaries of space and time by becoming 'Local Everywhere,' an attitude of feeling that one originates from every place experienced and every space that hosts us. The name 'Local' thus refers not only to origin, but to the way of living one's existence in relation to one's habitat and places of origin, passage and arrival. It was born as a tribute to the pilgrimage of saffron and the most precious raw materials that arrived in Italian ports through adventurers and sailors.
The 207 Amaro Locale takes its name from a 13th-century legend that Friar Domenico Santucci clandestinely brought 207 saffron bulbs from Spain to Italy. Santucci was originally from Navelli in the province of L'Aquila, where the prized Zafferano dell'Aquila DOP flourishes today, which in this bitter meets three other Italian delicacies: the Piedmontese mint from Pancalieri, orange peels from Calabria and lemon from Sicily.
Amaro Locale by 207 is a amiable liqueur with a fresh and light flavor with essences from the Mediterranean, a product that wants to express Italy rich in contradictions: it is sweet but bitter, unique but everyone's, an ancient taste that meets novelty, a flavor rich in history never revealed that is the new expression of a cultural heritage finally rediscovered. All this is possible thanks to the selection of raw materials, the commitment of people and the knowledge of ancient practices, the desire to live in balance with one's time wherever one comes from or arrives. These are the elements that distinguish the ideal precious climate in which genius and wisdom are revealed in taste.
