Grappa di Barbaresco Gaja - 50cl

This Grappa di Barbaresco Gaja reveals itself thanks to its typical, warm and enveloping fragrances, which open to a sip of character, perfectly balanced. Produced at the Distilleria Cooperativa del Barbaresco, a reality founded in 1980, it comes from the pomace of that Nebbiolo, which, in the vineyards of the legendary Angelo Gaja, is destined to give life to one of the most sought-after and iconic products of the entire range, Barbaresco DOCG. We are therefore faced with a distillate that has a noble origin and which, among its many merits, also has that of being perfect as a gift to be reserved for all those who are passionate about grappa.

Gaja makes this Grappa from fresh marcs and not ensiled Nebbiolo grapes from the estate vineyards where the famous Barbaresco DOCG is produced; the distillation period begins in mid-September and ends in late November. During the production process, which is carefully monitored at every stage, discontinuous stills are used that operate under a vacuum at a temperature below 70 degrees, thus preserving all the beauty of the aromas and scents. The final distillate is aged in steel containers.

Grappa di Barbaresco Gaja reveals itself to the eye with a crystal-clear hue, absolutely colourless, thanks to the maturation carried out exclusively in steel. The bouquet of aromas on the nose reveals intense, with notes reminiscent of dried fruit and medicinal herbs. On the palate, it is of excellent structure, balanced, with an elegant and enveloping dry sip, built in perfect harmony with the scents already perceived during the olfactory examination. An ideal Grappa to share at the end of dinner, to end the evening with a product made by one of the highest names in the Italian and world wine scene.
