MOSCATO D'ASTI LUIGI EINAUDI 2023 DESCRIPTION

Luigi Einaudi's Moscato d'Asti is solar and fragrant. It is, by DNA, a wine that many associate with a fruit juice, so harmless is its alcohol content and so engaging is its fruity character. One could describe this Moscato d'Asti in so many terms: juicy, fresh, thirst-quenching, mouth-watering. It is a wine for dessert, but also for an 'afternoon break', spent in the convivial company of a friend with whom one enjoys chatting. The Poderi Luigi Einaudi winery itself has given this nectar the appellation 'wine of serenity'. This is enough to hint at the carefree and joyful nature of this fragrant chalice.

Luigi Einaudi Moscato d'Asti is made from grapes that are not estate grown, but carefully selected from vineyards located at an altitude of about 280 metres in the commune of Castiglion Tinella, in the province of Cuneo. The vines, facing south-west, dwell on marly, calcareous soil. The grapes, transported to the cellar, are softly pressed whole using a membrane press. Vinification consists of a slow fermentation phase in autoclaves followed by a light frothing. Once bottled, it rests for a period of approximately two months in the bottle before being marketed.

The sweet white Moscato d'Asti has a light, delicate straw-yellow colour. Its aroma is clearly recognisable, impactful with its intensity of fruit and white flower, sage and yellow peach. On the palate, it is energetic in its gustatory lash of intensity and juice; it maintains an excellent finesse marked by freshness and emphasised by a delicate bubble. There is no ideal moment for tasting this nectar: from morning to evening, every occasion is good to enjoy a good sip.
