The Nebbiolo 'Neb' by Torraccia del Piantavigna is a northern Piedmont red made from the region's noble grape, in a fresh, everyday guise. Typical hints of violets emerge intensely on the nose, along with hints of red fruit. The palate is soft and tannic at the same time, elegant and smooth on the sip. Perfect for sipping at the table, accompanying intense pasta dishes and one-dish meals such as stew and polenta

The Nebbiolo by Colline Novaresi 'Neb' represents a fresh and fragrant interpretation of the most well-known Piedmontese grape variety, produced by the Torraccia del Piantavigna estate. The history of the winery began in the early 1950s with Pierino Piantavigna, who planted the first vineyard on the hills of Ghemme. Years later, the Torraccia del Piantavigna estate was officially born, where "Torraccia" represents the name given to Pierino's favorite hill, characterized by an almost circular shape and exceptional exposure. It is also a coincidence that the vineyard is located near the seventeenth-century castle of Cavenago, a castle with an old abandoned tower, a "torraccia."
Torraccia del Piantavigna Colline Novaresi 'Neb' Nebbiolo is an expression of the homonymous black grape variety cultivated in the territory of Ghemme applying the principles of integrated pest management. The soil where the grapes grow is clayey of fluvial-alluvial origin, and the harvest is carried out manually in crates. In the cellar, the clusters undergo a soft pressing, followed by the alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins. Malolactic fermentation is also carried out, and the wine then spends a short period of maturation in medium-capacity French oak barrels from Allier before final bottling.
The 'Neb' Nebbiolo Colline Novaresi from Torraccia del Piantavigna is light ruby red in color. The aroma offers pleasant fruity notes of raspberry and cherry, enriched by inviting floral sensations reminiscent of violet and geranium. The palate achieves excellent balance between silky smoothness and juicy freshness, elements that contribute to defining a clean and dry progression, rather tannic but with great momentum.
