'PFEFFERER SUN' COLTERENZIO 2023 DESCRIPTION

The "Sun" Pfefferer from Colterenzio originates from Alto Adige. Colterenzio is a cooperative of about 300 independent winemakers established in 1960. Thanks to Luis Rafer and his experience in the New World, over time, it became possible to elevate the quality of the grapes and reduce production in favour of greater care and respect for the raw material. The label is characterized by soft, warm colours with cursive lettering that communicates elegance and finesse, effectively conveying the quality of the product inside the bottle.

The "Sun" Pfefferer from Colterenzio is a blend of Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Bianco grapes cultivated at altitudes ranging from 250 to 550 meters above sea level between the areas of Bolzano, Corniano, and Appiano. The climate is characterized by cold winds from the Alps and milder temperatures due to the influence of Lake Garda. This condition leads to a sudden temperature drop between day and night, resulting in full grape ripening. The soil is mainly composed of clayey terrain, limestone sediments, about 150 different types of minerals, and calcareous rock. The three grape varieties were harvested at the same time of year and underwent steel fermentation. The refinement takes place on the lees, a practice that leads to good aroma development.

The Pfefferer "Sun" from Colterenzio presents itself in the glass with a straw yellow colour and brilliant reflections. On the nose, it releases a bouquet of scents ranging from ripe white fruit, hints of white flowers, and balsamic herbs with a final peppery note. On the palate, it is fruity and full-bodied, with a pleasantly fresh finish. It pairs excellently with delicate seafood dishes such as carpaccio and sea bream, as well as sushi and fish-based appetizers with sauces.

This product is well-suited for informal gatherings among friends or summer family lunches, offering a wine that results from a work philosophy focused on quality and combining multiple expertise for an intense and balanced product.
