Verduzzo from Bressan's Friuli winery is a dry wine made from the pure white grape variety of the same name, generally used to make the famous sweet wine Ramandolo. It is an intense and complex version of Verduzzo, which comes from a long maturation process in wood. The end result is a white wine with a strong and decisive character, structured and persistent, characterized by ripe and deep, particularly multifaceted aromas and tertiary evolutionary notes that add to its appeal. It is a wine with an artisanal, unique face that well represents the winery's philosophy run by Vigneron Fulvio Bressan.
Verduzzo wine comes from the vineyards cultivated in the countryside of Farra d'Isonzo. The Bressan family has been involved in viticulture for as many as eight generations, handing down their love of the land from generation to generation. The estate covers some 20 hectares, which lie on typical terrain of alluvial origin, created over the millennia by the Isonzo River. Poor soils are characterized by the presence of pebbles, which make them very draining and function as natural temperature regulators, storing heat during the day and then returning it during the night hours. Between the rows, herbicides and chemicals have been completely banned so that the grapes are genuine and naturally healthy. In the winery, traditional winemaking techniques are followed, trying to intervene as little as possible to make wines that are a sincere expression of the Isonzo terroir.
Bressan's white Verduzzo is a special label that perfectly expresses the production philosophy of those who are attentive to traditions and believe in the value of time to make wines with authentic taste and great personality. In the glass, it has a brilliant straw yellow colour. The nose expresses a bouquet with scents of acacia flowers, aromas of apple, peach, apricot and fresh almond. The sip is firm, rich and intense, with an excellent olfactory correspondence and a finish characterized by a slight tannic sensation, which dissolves into a fresh, almondy finish. A great wine for those who like evolved whites with decisive tertiary aromas.
