I Veroni

The Fattoria I Veroni is located in the municipality of Pontassieve about 10 km from Florence, in the Chianti Rufina. The winery was founded in 1895, but the first buildings, built as watch towers, date back to the twelfth century and belonged to the Counts Guidi. The first news of the agricultural complex date from the late sixteenth century, when the estate belonged to the noble Florentine family of Gatteschi, who had built the first tanks must fermentation, some of which are still visible today. Today the company is owned by the Mariani family, which owns about 50 hectares of land, of which 30 are used for olive grove and 20 vineyards.
