Charles Heidsieck's Brut Réserve Champagne is the label that embodies the quintessence of the Maison's style in its purest and most elegant form. It is a classic blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier, offering rich aromatic complexity and a lasting taste. It is a prestigious glass that combines evolved and complex notes with a pleasing mineral freshness. It's a bottle suitable for accompanying an important dinner from start to finish.
The Brut Réserve Heidsieck is a grand Champagne that the historic Maison in Reims likes to summarize with three emblematic numbers: 60, 40, 10. The number 60 represents the meticulously selected estate crus that become part of the cuvée: all vinified separately, grape variety by grape variety, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier. The number 40 indicates the high percentage of reserve wines made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that enrich the vintage, expanding its complexity and depth. Finally, the number 10 represents the average age of the reserve wines: all Champagnes are chosen from the best crus and vintages, zealously preserved in the cellar like a true treasure of the Maison. After gently pressing the grapes, fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled steel vats. The vins clair mature in steel, undergoing malolactic fermentation, and are then blended to create the final cuvée. The second fermentation occurs in the bottle according to the Méthode Champenoise. It ages on the lees for at least 36 months in the ancient cellars carved into the chalk of the Maison.
The Brut Réserve Champagne is the most representative label in the Charles Heidsieck Champagne range. It is the Maison's bottle that marks the stylistic continuity of the brand over time. Thanks to the use of reserve wines, it presents its face and charm unchanged every year. In the glass, it has a light yellow colour with bright golden reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. The bouquet is elegant and complex, with fragrant notes of freshly baked pain brioche, aromas of ripe yellow fruit, apricot, hints of tropical mango, dried fruit, and toasty sensations. The palate is deep and rich, with great aromatic persistence, featuring mature fruit, hints of vanilla, and a finish of lively citrus freshness.
