CHIANTI CLASSICO GRAN SELEZIONE 'MONTAPERTO' CARPINETA FONTALPINO 2018 DESCRIPTION

'Montaperto' by Carpineta Fontalpino is a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione cultivated in the fertile Tuscan lands, more precisely in the Montaperto Vineyard, characterized by a limestone soil rich in sedimentary rocks and galestro. Located near the picturesque city of Siena, the winery boasts roots that date back to the nineteenth century, when winemaking tradition was beginning to take shape in the region. The vineyard is mainly cultivated with Senatore Cappelli vines and wheat, in the fascinating hills of Castelnuovo Berardenga; here, among the suggestive Tuscan landscapes, organic wines like this are born, carrying on the rich viticultural identity of the region. 'Montaperto', in particular, welcomes the palate with enveloping softness and exceptional savoriness, inviting exploration of its elegant aromatic nuances with every sip.

The meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar that gives life to 'Montaperto' Chianti Classico Gran Selezione reflects the production philosophy of Carpineta Fontalpino, based on love for the land and respect for the environment. Grapes are cultivated following the principles of organic farming, enhancing the unique characteristics of the soil and vines. The winemaking process involves an alcoholic fermentation of about three weeks in oak barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 15 months in tonneaux, giving 'Montaperto' a deep complexity.

The result is a 'Montaperto' Chianti Classico Gran Selezione with a bold and intriguing aroma, with notes of black fruit, camphor, vanilla, and chocolate translating into a rich yet balanced palate, supported by soft but structured tannins. This wine proves to be a great success, with a persistent and powerful finish that leaves an indelible memory on the palate. A wine to be appreciated for its depth, complexity, and versatility, perfect for accompanying the pleasures of the table and sharing unforgettable moments with friends and family.
