Falkenstein Pinot Noir is a full-bodied and structured wine, aged in barriques and oak barrels for at least one and a half years. It combines elegance, richness and complexity in a fruity, spicy and pleasantly woody bouquet and in a full and decisive, balanced and enveloping mouthfeel.
The Pinot Noir by Falkenstein is a really good wine, which is striking for its elegance and its structure. Franz Pratzner, owner of this excellent winery that’s Falkenstein, is one of the pioneers of viticulture in the Venosta Valley, an area that until a few years ago it was known almost exclusively for the production of apples. Now, thanks to stringent wine growers such as Franz Pratzner, even in this part of South Tyrol produces wines of great value. The wines of Falkenstein also differ because they come from vineyards located on incredible slopes, worthy of the great wines of the Mosella; the vineyards, in fact, find a place impervious ground, supported by stone walls, which make the process very difficult, but possible thanks the terraces fitted out with work and patience. Although this Pinot Noir is a wine of much character, with intense fruity flavors. A must-try wine.
