Pinot Noir "Patricia" is an elegant, smooth and fruity red wine aged in barrels and barriques for 15 months. It is a refined expression of Alto Adige, rich in fruit, enlivened by delicate nuances of spice and vanilla and velvety tannins
Girlan's Pinot Noir "Patricia" is a clear example of a wine with its own character, particularly marked characteristics, intense personality and a harmonious, soft and deeply fruity body. The story of Pinot Noir "Patricia" begins in Mazzon, above Egna, on an area of about 10 hectares and in one of the best Italian territories for the production of Pinot Noir: southwest-facing slopes kissed by the afternoon sun and a soil with a high presence of clay and limestone.
Girlan is an extraordinary example of a social winery: there are 230 contributing members who give life to one of the most interesting wineries in South Tyrol, consisting of wine hamlets cultivated like gardens, with impeccable care and lots of passion. For example, the Pinot Noir "Patricia" comes from grapes mostly from Patricia Elzenbaum's vineyards, located on the slopes of Mazzon, above Egna.
The Pinot Noir "Patricia" gives fresh sensations of small red fruits that envelop the nose with softness and persuasiveness: the pleasant hints of vanilla come from resting for 15 months in small and large barrels. The sip is elegant and velvety, fruity but also full and structured... a clean and genuine expression of Alto Adige winemaking.
