BIANCO FRIZZANTE 'BONISSIMA' EMILIO MONTESISSA DESCRIPTION

Bianco Frizzante 'Bonissima' is a spirited and jaunty bottle produced by the artisanal winemaking reality Emilio Montesissa. It is a sought-after bottle-refermented orange wine, the child of a genuine production approach that is absolutely respectful of the terroir. For three generations, Emilio Montesissa's Emilian estate has been a sincere interpreter of the area of Carpaneto Piacentino, in the Val Chero, cultivating traditional local varieties, such as Ortrugo and Malvasia Bianca di Candia Aromatica among the white grapes, Barbera and Bonarda as far as black grapes are concerned. Today the winery is led by the young Elisabetta Montesissa, a winemaker who lovingly cares for the rows, which are trained in the Piacenza-style guyot system.

Emilio Montesissa 'Bonissima' Bianco Frizzante comes from a blend of white grapes grown on clay and sandy soils of Pliocene origin. Following manual harvesting, the clusters are immediately transferred to the winery for soft crushing, with the must left to macerate on the skins during spontaneous alcoholic fermentation for about 10 days, with no temperature control. Refermentation takes place in the bottle thanks to indigenous yeasts and transforming the natural residual sugar in the must, in accordance with the Ancestral Method. Along the process, the liquid does not undergo clarification or filtration.

Emilio Montesissa's 'Bonissima' Bianco Frizzante is straw yellow in color with a snow-white froth and slight cloudiness due to suspended particles. Intense and finely aromatic on the nose in its sweet scents of summer fruit and white flowers that are accompanied by fresh hints of citrus. Very drinkable and thirst-quenching sip, balanced between freshness and smoothness.
