The Pellegrino winery represents the past, present and future of Sicilian wine. It is a large producer founded in 1880 and today divided into several estates, from which 7 different ranges are created. Its production centres are located in the Trapani countryside, where there are four estates concentrated in the Marsala area, and on the island of Pantelleria. To fully understand the importance and size of this historic establishment in Sicily, it is enough to remember that over 65% of the wine produced on the island of Pantelleria is produced by the Pellegrino family, today represented by the seventh generation of the family.

Carlo Pellegrino & C. was founded by the notary Paolo who, within a few years and with the help of his son Carlo, made it one of the most important wine industries in Marsala. In more than 135 years of history and great success, it has expanded to 150 hectares of vineyards, 4 new family estates and 3 production centres: the large, historic headquarters in the town centre of Marsala; the Cardilla estate, where traditional Sicilian dry wines are bottled; and the Pantelleria plant. The vineyards located in the Trapani countryside are subdivided into four beautiful estates, considered to be the company's cru: Salinaro, in the municipality of Petrosino, which includes 14 hectares of Grillo vines; Kelbi, in Mazara del Vallo, where 19 hectares are planted with Catarratto; Gazzerotta, also in Mazara del Vallo, with 90 hectares planted with Grillo and Nero d'Avola; Rinazzo, in Marsala, consisting of 11 hectares of parched, sandy soil where Syrah is grown. This precise subdivision results from the study of soils and microclimates in order to identify the most suitable native varieties for each terroir. The ambitious eco-sustainable Progetto Terra project is implemented on all the estates and includes: organic cultivation, energy-saving technologies for lighting and logistics, self-production of renewable energy such as wells and photovoltaic systems, use of recyclable materials and efficient waste management.

Cantine Pellegrino wines are the fruit of a long family history, closely intertwined with that of Sicily. Efficiency, far-sightedness, a strong connection with tradition, an innovative drive and a broad commercial vision are the basis of a production style that is both modern and traditional. Alongside the historic range of Marsala and Moscato di Pantelleria, many other wines are now produced: from single-variety wines of native Sicilian grapes to dry and aromatic expressions, from organic wines to white and red wines from the cru and the various estates. This important production range is the outcome of the combination of the family's glorious and illustrious history and various pioneering ventures. In this manner, the history of the Cantine Pallegrino winery continues with great success.
