FALANGHINA 'CASA DI CAMPAGNA' ALEPA 2021 DESCRIPTION

Alepa's "Casa di Campagna" Falanghina is a generous wine from Campania that brings a dowry fruit and sunshine. Alepa is the winery founded by Paola Riccio, who with passion and dedication has decided to enhance an area of Campania as vocated as Casertano, but which often takes a back seat to the more well-known Taurasi or Taburno areas. Paola has been running 3 hectares in that of Caiazzo for more than 30 years, always adopting a healthy and respectful agriculture, which involves the use of only very small amounts of sulfur and copper, and which turns its attention to the perfect degree of ripeness of the grapes. In the winery, the same credo is continued, working only with indigenous yeasts, more or less long aging depending on the type of liquid, and maceration on the skins that also involves in part the white wines.  Another aspect that enhances Paola's work is the custody of local indigenous grape varieties, among which Pallagrello bianco and nero stand out, flanked by small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Falanghina Falanghina  "Casa di Campagna" is made from Falanghina grapes harvested from the vineyards of Caiazzo, which rest on soils with a predominantly clay matrix. In the vineyard, as already mentioned, no chemical or synthetic products are used, making use only of sulfur and copper in homeopathic doses, and in the cellar we consistently continue with spontaneous alcoholic fermentations and aging of the liquid for 12 months in steel containers. The wine does not undergo clarification or filtration before bottling.

Alepa Falanghina  "Casa di Campagna" presents itself in the glass with an intense yellow dress that veers towards orange. Olfactory impact of great intensity, declined on orange peel, wild herbs and ripe yellow fruit. The sip is no less rich, revealing itself to be filling and full-bodied, and dragging in a remarkable persistence, elongated by a thick saline contribution. Frankly unmissable at this price.
