Krug Rosé is undoubtedly one of the most original, atypical and surprising Rosé Champagnes, to be considered as a work of art. It is made from the three grape varieties typical of the region, from a careful selection of reserve wines and from ageing on the lees for at least five years. It expresses itself in kaleidoscopic tones of citrus fruits, toasted spices, berries, pastries, honey, dried fruit and more

The Rosé Brut from the Krug cellar is a Champagne of incredible finesse, delicacy and energy produced by a unique maison that, with good reason, has succeeded in winning over millions of bubble-loving followers who think there is Champagne and then a little further up there is the magical style of Krug. This magnificent expression, produced in a rosé version in reduced quantities, is a Cuvée de Prestige made from the blending of different vintages of three different grape varieties, which see Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, vinified white, joined by a small percentage of Pinot Noir vinified red from old vineyards located in the Grand Cru of Ay and the Montagne de Reims.
Krug's Brut Rosé Champagne is made from carefully selected grapes harvested exclusively by hand, in small baskets, at the moment of their ideal ripeness, which is often brought forward to maintain that freshness that is then found in the bottle over the years. The bunches are then taken to the cellar for press pressing and subsequent alcoholic fermentation, which takes place in small, very old French oak vats, for several weeks, to obtain the base wine. A part of the Pinot Noir does not undergo pressing, but is only softly crushed and will undergo fermentation on the skins to release that marvellous pink hue that distinguishes Krug Rosé. The various wine bases of the vintage are then blended with about 66% reserve wines to create the cuvée. This is followed by the addition of the liquer de tirage, for the taking of foam with re-fermentation in the bottle on its own yeasts for a period of at least 60 months. At the end of the ageing process, disgorgement is carried out and the liquer d'expedition is added to achieve the desired degree of dosage, as per the brut category.
Krug's Brut Rosé presents itself to the eye with a brilliant antique pink colour with coppery reflections and a very fine and persistent perlage. The nose displays intense and complex aromas of red berry fruits and berries, including raspberry, cassis and red plum, citrus and floral notes of rose petal, peony and ginger, spicy hints of white chocolate, sugared almond, oriental spices and honey, and then closes with a hint of pastry and dried fruit. In the mouth it is rich, delicate, refined, soft and nervous at the same time, characterised by an admirably precise mineral savouriness and an intriguing vein of almond. The finish is fresh, long and pleasantly velvety. This Rosé from the Maison Krug is an extraordinary and fascinating Champagne, a great wine more than just a Champagne, a kind of masterpiece in which all the components are perfectly calibrated to give harmony.
