Chateau Le Peuy Saincrit's Bordeaux Superieur is a full-bodied, multifaceted red. Characterised by an intense ruby colour with garnet highlights, it is a fruity and spicy wine with intriguing aromas of cherry, bay leaf, tobacco and chocolate. Balanced and persistent, we recommend pairing it with well-aged cheeses, roast meat dishes or mushroom risottos.

The Bordeaux Superieur Chateau Le Peuy Saincrit is a Bordeaux red wine with a smooth and enveloping taste produced in the Libournais area, along the right bank of the Dordogne river. This territory falls along the 45th parallel, considered one of the most suitable latitudes for viticulture from a quality point of view. In fact, being equidistant from the North Pole and the equator, it is neither too cold nor too hot along this parallel, ideal conditions for vines. From Bordeaux to the Northern Rhone, from Barolo to Oregon's Willlamette Valley, some of the world's most prestigious wine areas fall, not surprisingly, near the 45th parallel.
Chateau Le Peuy Saincrit Bordeaux Superieur originates from a blend of Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) grapes cultivated using environmentally friendly practices. The vines have an average age of 35 years and benefit from the hillside location with excellent southern exposure, as well as the rocky, clay-limestone soil matrix. In the cellar, the grapes are first subjected to a pre-fermentation cold maceration of no less than 10 days, aimed at enhancing the aromatic component of the grapes, followed by alcoholic fermentation in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins. Once the fermentation process is complete, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels for several months of ageing before its definitive release.
In the glass, Chateau Le Peuy's Bordeaux Superieur shows an intense ruby red colour with faint garnet reflections. Vivid fruity aromas of cherry, plum and blackcurrant characterise the nose, together with spicy hints of pepper and balsamic hints of bay leaves, all harmonised by evocative hints of tobacco and chocolate. In the mouth it is complex and enveloping, quite fresh and structured, good body and long persistence, with very soft tannins defining the progression.
