Red '10 Vendemmie Limited Edition' Tenuta Ulisse

The Rosso '10 Vendemmie Limited Edition' represents one of the highest expressions of Tenuta Ulisse, a red wine resulting from a special blend of 10 different vintages, hence the name of the label. In particular, it is a blend of the best grapes from the most vocated vineyards owned by the winery, resulting in an expression of great concentration and depth, in which the attributes of each vintage come together in balance.

The '10 Vendeie Limited Edition' Tenuta Ulisse Rosso originates from a blend of wines produced in 10 different vintages of exceptional quality. After each harvest, the grapes undergo a process of crushing and destemming, followed by red vinification with alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of between 24 and 26 °C. The fermentation process was accompanied by 15 to 20 days of maceration on the skins, while the subsequent ageing phase partly used French oak barriques, containers in which a portion of each wine was left to age for 12 months.

In the goblet, the Tenuta Ulisse Rosso '10 Vendemmie Limited Edition' displays a very deep ruby red colour. The olfactory panorama recalls ample and complex fruity sensations of plum and cherry jam, combined with elegant notes of tobacco, coffee, cocoa and vanilla deriving from the passage in wood. Soft and full-bodied on the palate, where the velvety tannic texture accompanies the persistent closure on consistent fruity and spicy perceptions. By virtue of its intensity and structure, this red wine requires savoury pairings, such as main courses of red meat or game. It is also excellent on its own at the end of a meal as a 'meditation' wine.
