BAROLO 'BREA CA' MIA' BROVIA 2020 DESCRIPTION

Brovia's Barolo 'Brea Ca' Mia' is a classic red wine from the Langhe, which comes from a vineyard cultivated in the famous commune of Serralunga d'Alba. A version of Barolo that perfectly reflects the characteristics of its terroir and expresses a remarkable structure, intense, concentrated aromas and great persistence. It is a wine of great substance, endowed with considerable potential for evolution and ageing.

The Barolo wine 'Brea Ca' Mia' is one of the flagship labels of the Piedmontese winery Brovia. The estate's origins date back to 1863 and today it extends over some twenty hectares, cultivated in the communal territories of Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d'Alba, with parcels in areas of particular value, such as: Rocche, Garbelet Sue, Ca' Mia and Villero. The vineyards share excellent exposures facing south, south-east and south-west, while they differ in soil composition, with soils characterised by different percentages of clay, limestone and sand. Ca' Mia is a historic estate vineyard, located in Serralunga d'Alba at an altitude of 350 metres above sea level. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in cement vats, with maceration lasting 15-20 days. The wine matures for 24 months in 25-hectolitre oak casks, followed by a period of bottle ageing.

Brea Ca' Mia' Barolodi Brovia is a typical version of Barolo from Serralunga d'Alba, particularly full-bodied, dense and deep, with an impeccable balance between elegance and power. In the glass it has an intense ruby red colour. The olfactory profile is complex, with aromas of small berries, nuances of red orange, spicy notes of liquorice and blond tobacco. The taste is intense and rich, with an important tannic texture and a long, balanced finish.
