The Beaujolais Village Les Vins de Vicky from the Château des Moriers estate is a lively, vivacious red, expressing all the fruity exuberance of this type of wine that is loved the world over. A true icon of the region, the label made this wine known to connoisseurs thanks to the Beaujolais nouveau release day, an event that is now part of the calendar of wine lovers. It is made from pure Gamay, the most widespread red grape variety in the area. The choice of carbonic vinification allows the preservation of intense fruity aromas and gives the immediate pleasure of a soft and harmonious, easy and simple sip.
The red Beaujolais Village Les Vins de Vicky, produced by Château des Moriers, is the fruit of the territory's tradition. The origins of the domaine date back to the end of the 19th century, and it still continues to offer wines that faithfully interpret the oldest local customs. On the 9-hectare estate, divided between Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent, the vines are managed according to organic farming principles. For centuries, Gamay has acclimatised to the region's mild climate and poor, draining soils generated by the gradual deepening of pink granite rocks. In accordance with the region's tradition, once the harvest is complete, the healthiest and ripest grapes are vinified whole using a carbonic maceration process that preserves the expressive integrity of the fruity aromas. Before bottling, the wine is aged for several months in stainless steel tanks.
The Beaujolais Village Les Vins de Vicky from Château des Moriers is a red wine to be enjoyed young to appreciate the crispness of the fruit. The delicacy of the tannin also allows it to be drunk in summer at a slightly cool temperature of around 14 °C. It presents itself in the glass with a beautiful ruby red colour with light purple highlights. The olfactory picture is dominated by the fragrant aromas of small red berries and wild strawberries, raspberry, redcurrant, morello cherry, floral nuances and delicate hints of spice. Harmonious and persuasive, it presents ripe and juicy fruit on the palate, very fine tannins and a flowing, agile sip, which accompanies a finish of great freshness.
