Its aromatic profile is wide and intense, with notes of ripe fruits, citrus fruits and cherries. The taste is clean, elegant, round, dry and persistent
This "Vintage" Roederer is a Brut Champagne, where the structure and power of Pinot Noir blend with the interesting aromatic profile offered by Chardonnay. It's a sparkling wine with a personality that captures a special vintage, where balance is at its peak, and a pleasant roundness characterizes the taste. Louis Roederer reaffirms its reputation with a bottle that, when brought as a gift to dinners where you are guests, will truly make an excellent impression.
This "Vintage" Brut Champagne originates from a skilful blend where, alongside 70% Pinot Noir from the Verzy and Verzenay crus, there's also a percentage of Chardonnay, a white grape variety that the Maison Louis Roederer cultivates in the surroundings of Chouilly. After the harvest, the grapes undergo the first fermentation, with 70% in steel and the remaining portion in wood. The refermentation takes place in the bottle, following the production rules of the Méthode Champenoise, and the wine matures on the lees for 48 months, after which the disgorging, dosage, and bottling operations are carried out.
The "Vintage" is a Brut Champagne that, to the eye, presents itself with a straw-yellow colour, crossed by a fine and persistently sparkling effervescence. The olfactory spectrum on the nose is varied, initially announcing itself with aromas of ripe, even candied, fruit and then with sensations that lean towards yeast and marzipan. On the palate, it is full-bodied, round, creamy, with a dry sip that impresses with its sharpness and elegance; it ends with an excellent persistence. Louis Roederer offers, with this bottle, one of the best vintages of recent decades, as also attested by the excellent ratings given by the main international industry guides.
