CHAMPAGNE BRUT 'CUVÉE LOUIS' TARLANT DESCRIPTION

Tarlant's Brut 'Cuvée Louis' Champagne is a three-dimensional and profound classic method, representative of the style of one of the region's most talented families. That of the Tarlant family is a prestigious reality that is exactly halfway between family and small maison, and is rooted in a centuries-old tradition, although the official foundation of the winery took place in 1928. Today, 14 hectares of vines are cultivated on 60 plots located in the most suitable areas of the region, which are often vinified individually in order to bring out their particular characteristics. In the vineyard, the dictates of organic farming are followed, excluding the use of any chemical or synthetic substances, so as to enhance the vitality of the soil and plants. The style of the house is welcoming and refined, and all the wines bring charm, creaminess and richness of nuance. The transversality of champions.

The Brut Champagne "Cuvée Louis" is a classic method made from an equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, using grapes from 65-year-old vines in the Les Crayons vineyard. In the vineyard, as already mentioned, we simply follow the natural rhythms, abandoning the use of chemical or synthetic substances. In the cellar, we continue with alcoholic fermentation in barriques of the base wines without carrying out malolactic fermentation, and re-fermentation in bottles according to the Champenoise method. The liquid matures on the lees for 80 months.

Champagne "Cuvée Louis" presents itself in the glass with a golden robe and fine, persistent perlage. A broad and refined olfactory profile, rich in suggestions ranging from dried fruit to custard, from acacia honey to oriental spices, which follow one another in a kaleidoscopic and never static progression. The tasting reveals a fascinating liquid, endowed with a soft and sensual tactility in continuous balance with a saline texture as a true champion. Exciting bottle.
