Brut Imperial is a fascinating and very famous name of Champagne, one of the iconic labels of the Moët & Chandon maison, which has been producing it uninterruptedly since 1869. Its rich, fruity and consistent aromatic profile, which has established it as a world-famous and much-loved Champagne, is well summed up by the house with the three adjectives: vibrant, generous and captivating. These great qualities, combined with the charm of its long and important history, make it an absolute certainty in the world of French bubbles.
Moët & Chandon's "Imperial" Champagne comes from a cuvée of more than 100 wines from vineyards located in more than 150 villages. The blending, conducted with absolute mastery by the chef de cave Benoit Gouez, involves the use of reserve wines for at least 20% and includes, in equal measure, the three grape varieties typical of the region: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. The 36-month maturation on the lees in the bottle enables the achievement of a complex and fascinating aromatic maturity, all played out in fruity, mineral and slightly toasted tones. The sugar dosage of approximately 9 g/l enriches it with soft and pleasantly sweet nuances that contribute to an incomparable pleasantness.
The unique, elegant and impeccable style of the Moët & Chandon maison is clearly perceptible in this Champagne. Imperial Moet's nose exudes seductive aromas of citrus, flowers and fresh fruit combined with fragrant nuances of brioche and fresh almonds. The palate is a brisk and lively explosion of fruit, freshness and minerality, enlivened by subtle, persuasive bubbles. Versatility, impetus and great pleasantness are the three characteristics that enable it to accompany with impeccable savoir faire luxurious aperitifs, delicate fish, shellfish and seafood dishes but also fruit-based desserts.
