CONDRIEU GUIGAL 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Condrieu made by the Guigal winery is a French white wine with an interesting olfactory spectrum. Indeed, it is surprising to see the perfect harmony with which the different fruity scents intersect with each other, highlighting the aromatic complexity of a grape variety such as Viognier, autocthonous precisely to the Rhone Valley from which this label originates. A bottle that continues to amaze on the palate as well, where the sip insinuates itself with character and personality thanks to a savory verve that never fails to delicately bandage the mouth. This Condrieu is undoubtedly an excellent gift when you need to bring a "thought" to someone you know is passionate about French wines.

This Condrieu signed Guigal originates from pure Viognier grapes, grown in plots about 25 years old and characterized by a terraced system. The subsoil has a component in which granite is prevalent. The clusters are carefully picked during the manual phase of the harvest, selecting only those that are perfectly ripe. Once destemmed, the berries thus obtained are pressed, and the must begins to ferment, also carrying out malolactic fermentation, either in steel - two-thirds of the mass - or in wood. This proportion is also maintained during the final ageing stage, in which the wine matures for 8 months.

Condrieu Guigal presents itself on visual examination with a typically straw-yellow colour. They concentrated the nose, in which scents of fruit - including exotic - alternate with spicy sensations, while touches and echoes of pastry take over on the finish. The mouth has a medium structure and enters the palate with a refreshing sip of widespread mineral impact. A perfect label to be uncorked now, paired with "seafood" recipes and menus.
