The Cote de Brouilly 'Brulhié' Domaine Les Roches Bleues is a red wine from Beaujolais, made from Gamay and aged for 12-18 months in barrel. On the nose it expresses notes of berries and cherries, hints of sweet spices and slight balsamic
The Côte de Brouilly "Brulhié", produced by Domaine Les Roches Bleues, allows you to appreciate the special characteristics of a single plot with a particularly bright and sunny character, which is reflected in a harmonious and enveloping red, that wins you over with a very rich, soft and suave aromatic bouquet. The carbonic maceration process, typical of Beaujolais wines, accentuates the fruity fragrance of the sip, making the tannins particularly gentle and silky. A pleasantly satisfying taste experience, capable of bringing out the best qualities of the Gamay grape variety.
The "Brulhié" Côte de Brouilly of Domaine Les Roches Bleues originates in the heart of the Beaujolais, particularly in the area of the Mont Brouilly massif, which offers marvellous exposure, a temperate climate and always good ventilation. The estate covers 9 hectares that are farmed organically, with full respect for the environment and its natural biodiversity. The label originates from a prized parcel located in the lieu dit, which is located on the southern slope of Mont Brouilly. The vines are between 20 and 90 years old and are rooted in the stony soils of the typical Roches Bleues, composed of diorites of volcanic origin. The grapes are harvested manually, and the best bunches are vinified whole with a semi-carbonic maceration that lasts around 15 days. Fermentation is initiated spontaneously, thanks solely to the action of indigenous yeasts, and takes place at a controlled temperature of 20 °C. The wine matures for 12-18 months in oak barrels, depending on the characteristics of the vintage, and is bottled after light filtration and with a minimum addition of sulphites.
The red Côte de Brouilly 'Brulhié' is one of the most representative labels of Domaine Les Roches Bleues. It perfectly expresses the artisanal character of an estate that pays attention to detail, knows its terroir intimately and is committed to highlighting its particularities. It has a beautiful dark ruby colour with light garnet red reflections. The bouquet is intense and rich, with aromas of ripe cherries, berries, redcurrants, blackberries, morello cherries, wild strawberries, floral nuances of violets, hints of undergrowth, humus and soft spices. The entry on the palate is persuasive and soft, with a very fine tannic texture and a juicy and ample mouthfeel that stretches towards a lingering fresh and balanced finish.
