ETNA BIANCO 'ARCURIA' GRACI 2021 DESCRIPTION

raci's Etna Bianco "Arcuria" is a pure Carricante, considered by enthusiasts and connoisseurs of the Etnean terroir, an essential wine to get to know the authentic face of this native white grape variety and the typical character of the Etna area, a volcano over 3300 meters high located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. It is precisely this particularity that makes the whites produced in this corner of Sicily unique. Fresh, savory, elegant and fragrant, it is a wine with a strong personality that does not leave you indifferent.

Etna Bianco wine "Arcuria" was born from Alberto Graci's passion for his land. In 2004 he created an estate of 24 hectares, cultivated with the native grapes of the place and representing one of the best excellences of the Etnean territory. The Carricante grapes come from a 2.5-hectare plot located in contrada Arcuria, near Passopisciaro, on the northern slope of Etna. The vineyard is located at an altitude of about 600 meters above sea level, on soils of dark sands of volcanic origin, rich in lava rocks and high in mineral elements, particularly iron. The vines are trained according to the traditional alberello system and are harvested at the end of October. After soft pressing, fermentation takes place in cement tanks. Aging takes place partly in oak barrels and partly in cement for 12 months on fine lees and ends with one year in the bottle.

"Arcuria" Etna Bianco from the Graci winery is a wine dedicated to those who love essential purity, an expression of a cool climate and poor, stony soils. Its finesse makes it suitable for pairing with appetizers and seafood dishes. To the eye it has a luminous light yellow color with brilliant reflections. The olfactory profile is refined and intense, with citrus fragrances, lemon peel, grapefruit, nuances of orange blossom, broom, aromatic herbs of the Mediterranean maquis, aromas of green apple, cartucciaro melon and white peach. Taut and vertical, it gives the pleasure of a savory, delicately fruity sip that stretches deep toward a finish of vibrant mineral freshness.
