Graci's Etna Bianco is a soft wine of good harmony and complexity, born from bush-trained vines grown over 600 meters above sea level. Hints of flowers, peach and pineapple alternate in a profile of intriguing minerality and freshness
Graci's Etna Bianco is a Sicilian wine that comes from a land that has been devoted to wine production for thousands of years. The winery was established only two years ago, but it has already distinguished itself for the quality of the products it markets. Alberto Aiello Graci is the proud owner of this reality: he left a secure job in Milan after graduating in Economics to follow his passion for the world of winemaking, having as his goal to give life to unique wines that could be an authentic expression of the intrinsic characteristics of the Sicilian territory. Respect for nature, its fruits and the ecosystem that surrounds his vineyards is the idea that guides his work every day and makes his business sustainable.
The Carricante and Catarratto grapes in Graci's Etna Bianco come from Contrada Arcurìa in the municipality of Passopisciaro, precisely on the northern slope of Etna. The soil here is brown in color given its volcanic origin and is rich in skeletons and sandy frank sediments rich in iron and nitrogen for wines with a strong character. Intervention in the vineyard is kept to a minimum, without use of pesticides and synthetic chemicals. The climate is Mediterranean with mild winters and pleasant temperatures and hot, dry summers giving grapes with delicious expressive charge. Harvesting takes place in mid-October and is conducted manually; in the cellar the grapes undergo a slow pressing and an alcoholic fermentation in steel thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts. It is aged in cement on the lees for 8 months.
Graci's Etna Bianco is straw yellow with intense, bright highlights. The aromas are reminiscent of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit such as peach, pineapple and pear together with a diffused minerality on the finish; on the palate it is balanced, drinkable and pleasantly savory for an intriguing drink. Paired perfectly with shellfish appetizers, smoked salmon and sushi and sashimi; also interesting with vegetarian dishes and grilled fish. Great for accompanying lighthearted aperitifs during summer sun sets by the sea, to savor the most traditional flavors Sicily has to offer.
