“Gi” by Elio Perrone is an aromatic white wine with a modern and complex profile, vinified only in stele tanks. It has a very rich bouquet of exotic fruits, sage, aromatic herbs and honey and the taste is energic, dynamic, fresh and very savory, with a good persistence. To be paired to spicy food, fishes and white meat
"Gl" is the result of Elio Perrone's synthesis between a local outlook and an international perspective. "Gl" is in fact the fusion of two words, "global" and "local," concepts that in this bottle take on the international contours and varieties that have always been at ease between Italian borders. A label that is thus born from the right balance of each grape in the final cut, where aromaticity and dynamism guide the entire tasting phase. To be tried with the right open-mindedness, to indulge in an interesting and special evening.
This "Gl" originates from an interesting and unusual blend for the terroir from which it comes. These varieties grow in the vineyards that Elio Perrone's winery owns near Castiglione Tinella. After harvesting, the clusters arrive at the winemaking facilities in small containers, where they are quickly destemmed to preserve the integrity of the aromas present in the skins of each grape. The must ferments in steel containers.
"Gl" reveals itself to the eye with a straw-yellow color, crossed by slight flashes that tend more toward golden in the rim. The nose reveals a typically aromatic olfactory profile, where touches of exotic fruit alternate with notes of sage and hints of honey. On the palate it is light-bodied, vivid, with a sip supported by a line of freshness that gives smoothness to the drink. A signature white from Elio Perrone's cellar that is recommended to pair especially with fish dishes, especially shellfish and seafood soups.
