The box 'Bruciato-Vermentino-Scalabrone' Guado al Tasso - Antinori presents the different facets of the wines from the Guado al Tasso estate, owned by the Marchesi Antinori, the most famous family in Italian wine. This winery is located in the prestigious Bolgheri area, which has risen to prominence for the quality of its red wines from international vines, mainly of Bordeaux origin. The link between the Antinori family and the Bolgheri territory boasts very ancient roots, dating back to at least the mid-17th century, when the Della Gherardesca family, ancestors of Piero Antinori's mother, began to dedicate themselves to the production of wine on their estates in the Upper Maremma. Today, Guado al Tasso's more than 300 hectares of vineyards are dedicated to the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Vermentino Nero grape varieties.
The Box Guado al Tasso - Antinori 'Bruciato-Vermentino-Scalabrone' takes the form of a fine wooden box containing a bottle of Bolgheri Rosato 'Scalabrone', a bottle of Bolgheri Rosso 'Il Bruciato' and a bottle of Bolgheri Vermentino. In particular, the Bolgheri Rosato 'Scalabrone' is a label to be appreciated for its refreshing and mineral character, enhanced by the entirely stainless steel processing of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes, with a very short maceration directly in the press. On the other hand, Bolgheri Rosso 'Il Bruciato' comes from the combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot, grapes vinified between steel and oak barriques. The latter type of wine container favours the wine's aromatic complexity and breadth of flavour. Finally, the Bolgheri Vermentino is a 100% Vermentino vinified and matured entirely in steel, which is striking for its sapidity and verticality.
