Alois Lageder’s Lagrein Rosé perfectly interprets the South Tyrolean custom in the production of rose wines with a strong personality, in line with the varietal characteristics of the grape. In the tradition of the territory has always been present the Lagrein Kretzer, a name that derives from the German term sieve, the tool that was used to extract the juice of grapes by separating it from the skins. The richness of color and structure of Lagrein recommends a very short maceration, but despite this choice the result is an intense and rich rosé, ideal to be tasted with a plate of tasty meats or with seafood stews with tomato.
Rosé Lagrein is one of the most iconic wines of Alois Lageder. Faithful to its ancient origins, the winery continues today to produce a rosé with a typical character, without concessions to the modern fashions of Provençal rosé, subtle and refined. It is a perfect expression of Lagrein, the autochthonous red grape much loved by South Tyrolean wine lovers. The vineyards are cultivated in the most suitable areas of the basin of Bolzano, Gries, Ora, Cortaccia and Magré. The soils, mainly composed of alluvial sands and the warm and ventilated climate, allow to obtain grapes with an elegant and fresh profile. The bunches are subjected to a soft pressing with a short contact on the skins to extract aromas and a minimum of color. Before bottling, the wine rests for some months on the fine lees in steel tanks.
Lagrein Rosé Lageder is a label that belongs to the line of classic wines, made to make known the vines historically cultivated in South Tyrol in their most immediate and direct version, capable of highlighting the varietal typicality of the grapes. The Classic labels are made with grapes that come from the vineyards of growers, linked by a consolidated relationship of trust with the winery and that apply between the rows the same philosophy of agronomic management of the Lageder estates. It is a glass that immediately seduces with an intense pink color, with bright reflections and which opens to soft and rich aromas of ripe cherry, wild strawberries and delicately spicy sensations. Its good structure is expressed with a juicy sip of crunchy fruit, which anticipates a very harmonious and balanced finish.
