LUGANA 'LE FORNACI' TOMMASI 2023 DESCRIPTION

The Veneto wine "Le Fornaci" is a Lugana DOC that tells the tradition of viticulture around the Veronese shore of Lake Garda. Here, the Turbiana – the local name for the native Trebbiano di Lugana grape – has ancient origins that are inseparably linked to the region's agricultural history. Tommasi, a winery located in Pedemonte in the province of Verona, deeply rooted in its production traditions, gives a clean and clear expression to the nose, while in the mouth, the wine flows with the ease derived from the balance between the different taste components. It is a bottle that has the merit of pleasing those who taste it with more than positive reviews.

"Le Fornaci" is a Lugana that Tommasi produces using Trebbiano di Lugana, locally known as Turbiana. This variety grows within the vineyard that gives the name to the label "Le Fornaci," located in San Martino della Battaglia, within an area characterized by a stratified subsoil, where clay, silt, and limestone are found. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The final refinement takes place in steel, lasting for 5 months, after which the wine is ready to be bottled and introduced to the market.

The Lugana "Le Fornaci" reveals a golden soul to the eye, captivating the sight. The nose unfolds a predominantly fruity olfactory profile, enriched with a slightly spicier touch on the finish, from which a hint of vanilla emerges. The taste is light-bodied and captivating, with a fresh vein; it concludes with a finish characterized by a hazelnut aftertaste. A Veneto white signed by Tommasi that makes versatility in the kitchen its strength, presenting itself as the perfect wine for all seasons.
