The Istrian Malvasia "Dis Cumieris" is an expressive and mineral wine with beautiful aromatic intensity, vinified and aged in steel. It has fruity, citrusy, herbaceous and slightly saline aromas and a fresh, savory and persistent taste
Malvasia "Dis Cumieris" is a Friulian wine endowed with persistent aromaticity, the true calling card of this bottle, carefully crafted by the Vie di Romans winery. A white that, in the mouth, impresses with freshness and savoury imprint, two characteristics that make for an exhilarating drinking experience. A label that agrees with the opinion of the main Italian wine magazines, which do not begrudge "Dis Cumieris" scores that are interesting.
Malvasia "Dis Cumieris" is made from pure Malvasia grapes grown within the Friuli Isonzo DOC area, more precisely in the winery's own vineyards in Mariano del Friuli. Here the vines, whose average age is young, grow with the spurred cordon system in an area with a characteristic reddish colour due to the strong presence of iron and aluminium oxides. Once the berries are harvested and arrive at Vie di Romans' winemaking facilities, they ferment in steel for 18 days, at a controlled temperature between 16 and 19 degrees, without carrying out malolactic fermentation. We then proceed with ageing, which always takes place in steel for 8 months, a period during which the wine remains to mature on the lees.
Vie di Romans "Dis Cumieris" is a Malvasia Istriana that, upon visual inspection, shows a typically golden colour, very inviting. The set of aromas that develop on the nose tells of fruity and citrus notes, enhanced by more floral and herbal touches. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, with a refreshing sip, marked by a tasteful texture; it ends with a finish endowed with excellent persistence. A bottle with which the Vie di Romans winery, gives us a sip of aromatic Friuli, right in the glass.
