The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo by Emidio Pepe is the "King" of the absolute varieties of Abruzzo. Emidio Pepe is a producer who has believed from the beginning in the potential of this wine which, until a few years ago, it was considered a "wine ready to drink". The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo by Emidio Pepe is a clear example of biodynamic wine, a wine as it was once typical and recognizable, with a style that combined the creativity of an artist craftsman, a quality wine that is founded on uniqueness of the terroir in which it is produced. The nourishment and tillage are the strong point of biodynamic agriculture and experience in this field, Emidio has to sell. In the vineyard are used solely crystals of copper and sulfur mine, not using selected yeast to start the fermentation and do not use herbicides or chemical fertilizers, even in the most critical years.
