The Pinot Bianco Gutswein by Weingut Reinhardt is a lively, juicy white wine, the result of vinification with indigenous yeasts and ageing in oak. It has a lively straw colour and exudes, on tasting, aromas of ripe apples and pears, hints of white flowers and mineral parvences of flint. It is a wine that pairs perfectly with white meats or cooked vegetable dishes
The Pinot Blanc Gutswein from Weingut Reinhardt is a balanced and fragrant interpretation of this grape variety from the noble Pinot family. Pinot Blanc is said to have originated in Burgundy from a genetic mutation of Pinot Grigio, itself derived from Pinot Noir. In spite of its French origin, today the country with the most hectares of Pinot Blanc is Germany, which alone accounts for more than 30% of the world's vineyard area devoted to this grape variety. Here, Pinot Blanc is called Weissburgunder and, compared to Alto Adige and Alsace, other territories in which the variety yields excellent qualitative results, provides wines that are usually fresher and lighter.
Gutswein Weingut Reinhardt Weissburgunder Pinot Bianco is an expression of the pure Pinot Bianco grape variety of the same name, which is cultivated on a certified organic regime in the Palatinate wine region. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the cellar and then vinified using the white wine method through gentle pressing and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the must, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in wooden barrels. In the same type of wine containers, the maturation process of a few months takes place before the final bottling with the screw cap.
The colour of the Pinot Bianco Weissburgunder Gutswein from Weingut Reinhardt is an intense, brilliant straw yellow. On the nose there are fragrant hints of ripe fruit such as apple, peach and pear, accompanied by floral notes of jasmine and mineral hints of flint. The balance on the palate is excellent, where the lively freshness gives a juicy dimension to the sip, anticipating the dynamic mineral finish that invites you to return to the glass.
