Prosecco Extra Dry by Alla Costiera is a sparkling-wine delicate and fine, with notes of white fruit and flower petals, beautiful freshness and aroma, with a smooth and creamy perlage.
Prosecco Extra Dry Alla Costiera stands out as an absolute benchmark in its type, as an original yet light-hearted and convivial liquid. When one thinks of Prosecco, one cannot ignore today's situation, which, in the face of a disproportionate increase in the number of hectares under vine in the area, has to cope with a myriad of impersonal products with no territorial connection to their place of origin. Fortunately, a few bulwarks resist, to which we unhesitatingly ascribe Alla Costiera, a winery founded by Filippo Gamba and capable of churning out territorial liquids not only for sparkling wines, but also for still wines. Here in the Euganean Hills, in addition to the famous Glera, we find Merlot, Carmenere, and Moscato Giallo, interpreted by Filippo in a straightforward manner and maintaining extreme drinkability as the guiding thread, as well as a touching value for money.
Prosecco Alla Costiera Extra Dry is produced from pure Glera grapes, sourced from vines resting on clayey-calcareous soils and maintained at extremely lower yields than the local average. In the vineyard and in the cellar, action is taken only when necessary in order to produce wines that are alive and territorial. The base wine matures in steel containers for 3 months and then re-ferments in autoclaves for 60 days.
Extra Dry Alla Costiera presents itself in the glass with a pale straw yellow colour and a fine, persistent bubble. Extremely fresh and fragrant on the nose, with green apple, lime zest and a floral touch. Simple but satisfying, the liquid is even more enjoyable on the sip, where it is smooth and juicy, and seems to be designed to gratify everyday cooking. A gem at an affordable price!
