Blanco Señorio De Librares is a white wine made in Spain's La Rioja region from Viura and Tempranillo Blanco. The nose expresses notes of tropical fruit, yellow-fleshed fruit and hints of citrus, which also return on the palate in a fresh, drinkable sip. Perfect as an aperitif, accompanying finger foods, or to pair with light fish and shellfish dishes
The Rioja Blanco by Señorio de Librares winery is a Spanish label appreciated for its exotic and citrusy aromatic profile, made from a blend of local grape varieties Viura and Tempranillo Blanco. Viura is the main white grape variety of Rioja, known in Catalonia as Macabeo and in the French Pyrenees as Macabeu, valued for its oenological versatility and its ability to produce very long-lasting and refined wines. As for Tempranillo Blanco, it is a genetic mutation of the more famous Tempranillo Tinto, discovered in a vineyard in Rioja in 1988 and recognized in the appellation only in 2007.
The Señorio de Librares Rioja Blanco is a blend of Viura (75%) and Tempranillo Blanco (25%), cultivated according to the principles of organic farming. In the cellar, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing, followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the must in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 15 days. Then, the wine matures in stainless steel containers for several months. The oenology practiced by the Espinosa sisters, owners of the winery, is based on minimal intervention.
The Rioja Blanco from Señorio de Librares has a bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The aromatic profile is defined by intense fruity notes of apple, citrus, yellow-fleshed fruits, and exotic fruits, interspersed with pleasant floral nuances. In the mouth, it is fresh, balanced, and very drinkable, with a sleek progression that ends with a savory and highly drinkable finish, where the fruit and citrus sensations perceived previously on the nose reappear.
