ROSSESE DI DOLCEACQUA 'BERAGNA' KA' MANCINÉ 2023 DESCRIPTION

Rossese di Dolceacqua "Beragna" from Ka' Manciné is a typical wine from the western Ligurian Riviera, made from an interesting native grape variety that has been present in the area for centuries. Rossese is a variety that gives delicate and elegant reds, fresh and low in tannins, which can also be paired with fish dishes cooked with tomatoes. It mainly expresses fragrant aromas of ripe red fruit, floral notes, with a fragrant, soft and smooth sip. An atypical red, which plays its best cards precisely on its finesse and lightness and not on power or strenght.

The red "Beragna" is a pure Rossese di Dolceacqua, produced by the Ka' Manciné Winery in Soldano, in the hilly hinterland of Bordighera, which already rises towards the first mountain slopes. The vines are cultivated on terraces supported by dry stone walls, at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level, with northeastern exposure, which ensures slow ripening of the grapes with significant temperature swings between day and night. Once the harvest is finished, the classic red vinification is carried out, with fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks with maceration on the skins. It then matures a few months in steel before being bottled.

Ka' Manciné's "Beragna" wine, thanks to the vinification only in steel, preserves the elegant personality of Rossese di Dolceacqua and its particular characteristic of being a very pleasant drinking red even during the summer months, perhaps served slightly chilled at 12/14 °C. Precisely these characteristics make it a modern wine and in line with contemporary tastes, increasingly oriented towards the search for fresh, not too alcoholic and structured wines. In the glass it has a beautiful bright ruby color. The olfactory profile is delicate and refined, with floral scents, aromas of small red berries and nuances of herbs and spices. The palate is medium-bodied, with a fresh and fragrant sip, barely noticeable tannins and a finish on savory sensations.
