Red Ekho 2020

Ekho Red comes from 80-year-old free-range vines planted along the coast of the beautiful North Aegean island of Limnos. Limnio is an indigenous variety of the island that grows on sandy soils of volcanic origin with low yields, and is the only grape used in this red. The wine matures for a long time in third passage barriques, with about a third in steel to accentuate the final freshness. The nose offers floral notes, and hints of red fruit, with intriguing hints of pomegranate that set the scene for the intensely spicy finish.
