When talking about Italian sparkling wines, a region that has to be mentioned is Trentino; and, when talking about Trentino, the iconic winery of this territory is undoubtedly Ferrari. A reality that has set the standard for all the wineries that have subsequently sprung up in the territory, and which, over the decades, has always distinguished itself by producing labels of great quality. This Trento Spumante Brut Maximum is no exception, a blanc de blancs that well expresses the characteristics that should never be lacking in a fine sparkling wine: minerality, freshness and balance of aromas.
Maximum by Ferrari is a Trento Spumante Brut that embodies all the purity of the grape from which it comes, Chardonnay. The vines grow in the shadow of the Trentino mountains, in vineyards located between 300 and 700 meters above sea level, facing southeast and southwest. The grapes, harvested by hand in the first half of September, re-ferment in the bottle for the second time after vinification, remaining on their yeasts for at least three years.
Maximum is a Trento Spumante Brut with a straw-yellow color; the perlage is fine, with an excellent persistence. The range of aromas that develops on the nose is fragrant, with fruity and floral notes that slowly give way to nuances of yeast. In the mouth it is soft and velvety, with a mineral sip of pleasant freshness set on a perfectly balanced texture; the finish has an excellent intensity. The Maximum from the Ferrari winery is a very versatile sparkling wine that accompanies both informal aperitifs and more ceremonious occasions with equal elegance.
