VALPOLICELLA 'CÀ FIUI' CAMERANI - CORTE SANT'ALDA 2022 DESCRIPTION

Corte Sant'Alda's Valpolicella "Cà Fiui" originates from well-sunlit vineyards, from which concentrated grapes are obtained that contribute to character. Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara are united in a blend where structure and finesse coexist in unison, making the sip a smooth and satisfying one. Corte Sant'Alda, a reality in which innovation, experimentation and attention to the ecosystem are side by side in every phase of the production chain, gives life to a bottle to drink immediately or to keep in the cellar for a few more years, to taste it in a more evolved version.

This "Cà Fiui" Corte Sant'Alda is a Valpolicella made from the blend of several indigenous red grape varieties of the Veneto terroir, Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. The vines, cultivated in the Val di Mezzane, grow in vineyards located approximately 350 metres above sea level, facing south-east, where the training system is guyot. The rows are treated exclusively with organic and biodynamic practices. Once harvested, the grapes ferment in wooden vats using indigenous yeasts, macerating on the skins for 15-20 days. This is followed by the ageing phase, which lasts 6-10 months in truncated conical oak vats.

The "Cà Fiui" by Corte Sant'Alda is a Valpolicella that takes on ruby-coloured contours, characterised by hints tending towards violet. Red fruits, spices and aromas of undergrowth are the olfactory notes that contribute to the profile of this Corte Sant'Alda label. On the palate it is light-bodied, well-balanced, with a subtle sip characterised by a pleasant freshness and light tannin. A Veneto red of excellent drinkability, which, among its many merits, also has that of being characterised by great gastronomic versatility, making it the ideal companion for more or less formal lunches and dinners.
