Terre degli Svevi - Re Manfredi

The Terre degli Svevi winery was born in 1998, in the heart of the production area of Aglianico, thanks to the will of the Gruppo Italiano Vini to give new life to this area. To deal with it, from the first moment, it was Paolo Montrone, deep knowledge of viticulture of Vulture. The professionalism and quality of entrepreneurial Terre degli Svevi took a few years to develop a large and solid basement, inevitable reference point of the entire area of the Vulture. The 120 hectares of vines are well covered for most of Aglianico, but where there are also vineyards of white grapes such as Muller Thurgau and Gewürztraminer. In the cellar, Paolo is helped by Christian Scrinzi; the wines all have a style in common, which gives top priority to the sweetness and softness, finding in this way one of the possible ways to harness and tame the tannic Aglianico grapes. The production is definitely dominated by Re Manfredi, the archetype of the wines of the Terre degli Svevi: intense and structured, warm and powerful, a perfect example of what good Terre degli Svevi are doing for this incredible area.
