The adventure of Torre Fornello begins in 1998, when Enrico Sgorbati founded this beautiful winery in the western of Emilia Romagna, which takes its name from the old kilns in the area. The 13 hectares of vineyards Enrico has decided to adopt a special focus on environmental sustainability and so as to ensure a minimized human intervention: all elements that have contributed to require organic certification for certain vineyards.

All this are reasons which led Enrico, from the start of his adventure, restoring the ancient rural and build a modern winery to produce wines of the highest quality and personality. The grapes used in Torre Fornello are all from their own vineyards and are directly fermented. For Enrico the territoriality is really important: his wines must fully reflect the terroir of Piacenza, without interventions that could alter flavors or fragrances. For these reasons, the labels produced by Torre Fornello truly reflect the personality of this territory: complex, elegant, enveloping and balanced.
