"Codronchio" Albana Secco is an intense, rich and complex white wine. It is slightly sweet because it is made from overripe botrytized grapes. It is one of the most famous and paradigmatic expressions of Romagna, characterized by wide aromas of sweet spices, candied citrus, yellow flowers and by a smooth, long and articulated flavour

The Albana di Romagna "Codronchio" made by Fattoria Monticino Rosso faithfully reflects the characteristics of the wines produced on the hills of Imola. It originates from a late harvest carried out in several stages, after a careful selection of the grapes within the winery's crus. A mature and complex white, slightly sweet and with a nice mineral charge. A label that convinces the main national critics, obtaining excellent scores.
Fattoria Monticino Rosso's "Codronchio" is an Albana di Romagna that comes from 25-year-old Albana vines, grown using the "pergoletta romagnola" system in hilly terrain with a clayey subsoil. Harvesting is carried out late, between October and November, when the bunches are overripe, with partial development of Botrytis Cinerea. The must obtained from pressing the grapes ferments in stainless steel containers where the temperature is kept under control. The production process ends with an 8-month ageing period on fine lees in both steel tanks and barriques.
The Albana di Romagna "Codronchio" signed by Fattoria Monticino Rosso announces itself to the eye with a golden colour, endowed with a beautiful brilliance. The bouquet on the nose is broad and generous, with notes that go from spices to hydrocarbons, flowers and herbs. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with a decidedly velvety mouthfeel thanks to a rounded sip; there is a slightly sweet taste in the mouth, fresh and savoury, characterised by an excellent persistence. A label that is the pride of the winery's entire range, dedicated to Count Codronchi, the lords of Imola who once owned and cultivated the land where the vineyards owned by Fattoria Monticino Rosso now stand.
