Born in the middle of the last century, Acquabona has immediately tried to practice an all natural philosophy, paying great attention to the surroundings. An environment that here on Elba Island, is a source of inspiration in the wine industry.

In this pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the wine is always home; Etruscan, Roman Villas and Medici: wine has always acted as a glue between different cultures that have lived and who have crossed and characterized the local history. We are in the town of Portoferraio, in "La Cote di Siterno" at the village of Lacona. Acquabona over the years has stood out thanks to the ability and professionalism with which it has enhanced the Aleatico, a native vine that creates a sweet wine of exceptional complexity and density.

Born after a natural drying for 10-15 days on racks or in the same boxes used for the harvest and matures, evolving, for 24-36 months in large wooden barrels. These are two phases to give Aleatico d’Elba by Acquabona its typical irresistible charm. A raisin which comes with its very intense ruby red color and that gives to the wine profound notes of black cherry, morello cherry, prune, of small berries, violet, rose and peony, gentian and spices.
