AMARO SERI PERVAS DESCRIPTION

Seri Pervas Amaro is produced in Friuli Venezia Giulia, specifically in Trieste, by two brothers who, in 2020, decided to start the production of a new line of spirits that could be ambassadors of the tradition of the city of Trieste as a renowned trading hub in the last period of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in Europe. The name "Seri Pervas" is a tribute to a steamship built around the 1830s that was the means for many seafarers to reach the waters of the Danube to expand Trieste's trade routes further.

The label of Seri Pervas' Amaro depicts the image of the steamer in the act of ploughing through the water placed in relief on the thick paper used for printing in keeping with the style of the time, as well as the font used that recalls the characters of yesteryear. Also peculiar is the shape of the bottle, a shape that was possible to find in pharmacies or any emporium in the city. The two brothers work exclusively with entities in the Trieste area to source raw materials that are of quality and espouse the same working philosophy: attention to detail and tradition.

Seri Pervas Bitter is the result of a meticulous selection of raw materials and their combination for an excellent end result: wormwood leaves, bittering herbs, ground coffee beans and a small addition of star anise essential oil create a bouquet of heady aromas. The nose perceives roasted coffee notes, hints of hazelnut and cocoa, with a finish characterized by notes of karst and bittering herbs. In the mouth, the sweetness of the sugars is balanced by the bitterness of the bittering herbs and the retronasal is welcoming and inviting thanks to the hint of coffee and star anise; the finish is pleasantly persistent.
