Barbaresco 'Crichet Pajé' Roagna 2015

Roagna's Barbaresco 'Crichet Pajé' is one of the pinnacles of Barbaresco tradition and one of the gems of Italian wine. Crichet means 'high part of the hill', where the best vines for Nebbiolo production are found. This is where the Roagna family's oldest vineyards are located, on the highest part of the Pajé cru. The nose has elegant, juicy aromas of red fruit, bright flowers and slight, precious chalky mineral hints. Like the great wines of the Langa, it must be waited for: on the palate it is austere but, given a few moments, opens up into a round, deeply fine and welcoming sip. We recommend leaving it in the cellar still and indulging in it after a long ageing period, to access the full form of what will become an unforgettable memory
