Barbaresco 'La Casa in Collina' Vite Colte 2020

Barberesco "La Casa in Collina" is an oenological hymn that Vite Colte dedicates to the Langhe, land of wine and land that gave birth to the great Cesare Pavese. Aged in oak barrels, as per tradition, it releases intense and pronounced sensations of violet and currant, with toasted and vanilla contours. The palate is rich and elegant, with a velvety tannin and a persistent finish

BARBARESCO 'LA CASA IN COLLINA' VITE COLTE 2020 DESCRIPTION

"La Casa in Collina" is a Barbaresco that is made by the Vite Colte winery according to the traditional Langhe's production approach, whereby Nebbiolo is blended starting from different vineyards and then matured in large barrels, thus summarizing the classic overall vision of the appellation to which it belongs. A full and velvety wine, with a delicately tannic sip that goes well with earthy menus, especially with Piedmontese meats and another precious ingredient of the territory, the white truffle of Alba.

Barbaresco "La Casa in Collina" comes from the grapes of the most important red grape variety in all of Piedmont, Nebbiolo. Vite Colte grows it in different plots characterized by different microclimates and terroirs. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature between 28 and 30 degrees and lasts 20 days. After malolactic fermentation takes place, the wine is aged in large oak barrels for more than 12 months. After bottling operations, an additional 12-month maturation takes place, directly in glass.

The "Casa in Collina" is a Barbaresco that on visual examination announces itself with a typical garnet color, endowed with good intensity. The olfactory spectrum is orchestrated around refined and intense aromas in which small berries take center stage, then enriched by a more toasted scent from which some tertiary notes emerge. In the mouth it is full-bodied, structured, ample, with a sip that flows delicately on the palate thanks to a finely integrated tannic texture. It closes with a good persistence, centered on a floral aftertaste.
