BARBARESCO RISERVA 'SANTO STEFANO ALBESANI' CASTELLO DI NEIVE 2017 DESCRIPTION

The Barbaresco Riserva "Santo Stefano" by Castle of Neive is their strength, their Barbaresco referenc . And trying it you can't but agree with these statements. If Barbaresco "Gallina" and "Santo Stefano Albesani" are capable of surprising for their quality and their preciousness, the Riserva "Santo Stefano" can only be placed on a higher level. The grape is born and grows in the vineyard Santo Stefano, but what changes is the yield per hectare, much lower than the other two Barbaresco , and aging. As of winemaking, where after 10-12 days at a constant temperature of 30°C, the wine is transferred into French oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 18°C. Here follows an aging of 36 months, before getting another year in bottle in the cellars full of charm and history of the Castle of Neive. The Barbaresco Riserva "Santo Stefano" is ' different since color from red garnet that wraps the view, you begin to see the orange reflections; a color that makes you imagine being in front of a Barbaresco complex, intense and very broad where small ripe fruit, on the nose, go wild in shades of tobacco, spices, cocoa, balsamic notes; typical aromas of the vineyard Santo Stefano. Great with braised meats, Barbaresco Riserva "Santo Stefano" surprises with its wealth of tannins that remain unchanged however a beautiful softness.
