BARBERA D'ALBA FRATELLI ALESSANDRIA 2023 DESCRIPTION

Fratelli Alessandria's Barbera d'Alba brings to life the most widespread grape variety within the regional boundaries of Piedmont. We are faced with a bottle with a balanced and harmonious profile, in which the classic vinous and fruity aromas that do justice to the appellation are easily recognizable. A bottle that expresses elegance, strength, stability and exaltation of the unique flavours of the Verduno area where the Barbera grapes grow, carefully monitored by the winery team. A wine to be enjoyed to the last drop!

Barbera d'Alba is produced by the winery Fratelli Alessandria from the terroir of Verduno, where there are some vineyards of its own, Neirane and Crisitani, each facing west at an altitude between 250 and 400 meters above sea level. The terroir is characterized by a medium limestone structure that tends slightly to clay. The fermentation of the must is carried out through maceration of 6 to 8 days in steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 26 and 28 degrees. The final ageing takes place between cement and steel for 5-7 months.

Fratelli Alessandria Barbera d'Alba presents itself to the eye with a ruby red colour that has a particular chromatic intensity. The olfactory spectrum moves around vinous references, highlighting a texture that develops with balance and ends with slightly spicy notes. The palate is medium-bodied, with a pleasant mouthfeel, also thanks to a fresh vein. A traditional red wine from Piedmont, ideal with risotto with earthy sauces or with dishes in which meat - grilled or roasted - plays the leading role; the final price at which it is offered should not be underestimated and is really worth considering when compared to the always high level of quality that the Fratelli Alessandria winery guarantees in each of its labels.

Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
