Barolo from the Batasiolo winery is an elegant red wine from Piedmont, aged in Slavonian oak barrels and steel. Rich, powerful, deep on the palate, with a long finish and velvety tannins, the nose expresses intense notes of black fruits, dried fruits, sweet spices, tobacco and flowers. Perfect with savoury red meat or game dishes
Batasiolo's Barolo presents one of Italy's most prestigious appellations in an accessible and complete guise, to be enjoyed in its youth or stored for a long period before opening. This Barolo comes from a blend of grapes from various plots scattered across several prestigious communes in the Barolo area, such as La Morra, Serralunga d'Alba, Barolo and Monforte d'Alba. The combination of the characteristics of these prized areas gives shape to a Barolo of exceptional balance and completeness, a spokesman for the Langhe territory.
Barolo signed Batasiolo is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes from various plots of land with different soil and microclimate characteristics. The grapes are usually harvested by hand in the first half of October and then transferred to the cellar where they are destemmed and mellowed in stainless steel tanks. Here alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with at least 10-12 days of maceration on the skins, during which periodic pumping over takes place. The subsequent period of maturation takes place in large Slavonian oak casks, containers in which the wine ages for about 3 years before the further resting between steel and bottle that precedes its definitive release.
Intense garnet red is the colour of Barolo Batasiolo, which on the nose expresses inviting hints of black fruits, sweet spices, dried fruit and tobacco that blend with delicate floral and balsamic hints. The progression on the palate is balanced and elegant, full and tasty, with a velvety tannic texture accompanying the long persistent finish, in which the intense sensations of ripe fruit and spices perceived on the nose reappear.
