The Barolo "Bricco delle Viole" Vajra is more than what you would find in an elegant red wine. Is the wine of the company, one that has ingrained the philosophy of Aldo Vaira and who led the entire company to seek quality, style and patience. As a child, when he wanted return, with his grandparents, from Turin in Barolo to be a farmer, Aldo Vaira has always had clear his mission. His dream came true in 1985 when he decided to found the family business on Vergne, a fraction of the famous town of Barolo. We are in an area that enjoys a special microclimate for its mildness, the soil here is mostly clay and this is one of the main features that has shaped the philosophy of Aldo has always been dedicated to sustainable agriculture made of natural irrigation and grassing; the clay, in fact, allows for excellent drainage allowing you to have a good supply of water even in the driest years. One of the crus of Barolo "Bricco delle Viole" is one of those lucky ones: magic name and unique features, we are in the highest part of the municipality of Barolo, where the Alps seem even closer and where the climate is never too never too hot in summer and cold in winter. The "Bricco delle Viole" comes from the oldest vines of the Vajra who are also the last to see the harvest, a unique and dangerous at the same time, in the fall because the weather can change quickly. The risk, however, brings with it a great aromaticity; notes of cherry liqueur perfectly blended with those of dark berries, violets and dried roses.
